- Thames Ditton Cricket Club has applied to extend and alter its clubhouse on Giggs Hill Road, Thames Ditton.

- The application is submitted by trustees Patrick Kennedy, Edwin Glasgow, and Geraint Morgan, through agent Solve Planning Ltd.
- The applicants argue the development is exempt from biodiversity net gain requirements due to the site area falling below 0.2 hectares.
- The application was declared on 17 September 2026 and awaits determination by Elmbridge Borough Council.

The trustees of Thames Ditton Cricket Club have applied to Elmbridge Borough Council for planning permission to extend and alter the club's existing clubhouse on Giggs Hill Road, Thames Ditton.

The proposal would increase the building's gross internal floor area from 203 square metres to 264 square metres, a net addition of 61 square metres. The site falls within Use Class F2, covering local community uses including sport and recreation.

The application was submitted on behalf of trustees Patrick Kennedy, Edwin Glasgow, and Geraint Morgan by agent Kay Collins of Solve Planning Ltd, Farnham. The application site covers 0.03 hectares.

The applicants state that biodiversity net gain requirements do not apply to the proposal on the grounds that the application site area falls below the 0.2-hectare threshold and that no priority habitats are present within 500 metres of the site. Surface water is proposed to be disposed of via the existing watercourse, and foul sewage will connect to the mains sewer.

The application was declared on 17 September 2026 and is now before the local planning authority for determination.
