An application has been submitted to demolish an existing four-bedroom house at 26 Knowle Park, Cobham, and replace it with six two-storey dwellings arranged as two pairs of semi-detached houses and two detached houses.

The proposal, submitted by Mrs Claire Layton of Onslow Design and Build Ltd and prepared by agent Simon Grainger of Grainger Planning Associates Ltd, seeks permission to alter the existing access, form a new accessway, and provide off-street parking. The scheme would increase the number of on-site car parking spaces from two to eleven.

The six proposed dwellings would all be market housing, comprising two two-bedroom and four three-bedroom houses, representing a net gain of five residential units on the 0.21-hectare site.

External materials would include brick and vertical tile hanging to walls, with plain tile roofing. The site's existing use is residential and is not recorded as vacant.

Surface water is proposed to be managed via sustainable drainage systems, with foul sewage disposed of through the mains sewer. The application confirms that biodiversity net gain provisions apply, with the pre-development biodiversity value of onsite habitats recorded at 0.98 units.

The applicant states that pre-application advice was sought from the local authority prior to submission. The application was signed and submitted on 29 September 2026.
